Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Lesson Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons for Social Studies and Kinyarwanda, aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Student Assessment: Develop and administer assessments, tests, and exams to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Classroom Management: Create a respectful, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of teaching materials and schemes of work for the subjects.
  • Parental Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance and well-being.
  • School Community: Participate actively in staff meetings, school events, and professional development workshops.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Education, with a specialization in Primary Education, Languages, or Social Sciences. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Primary School Teacher, with a strong track record of teaching Social Studies and Kinyarwanda.
  • Deep knowledge of the Rwandan Primary School curriculum for the respective subjects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Kinyarwanda and English.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for working with children.
  • Must be a creative, patient, and motivational educator.
