About the Role

This role will ensure quality, proper storage, and dormancy-breaking of potato seeds, managing inventory, coordinating with teams, supervising staff, and preparing seeds for planting, distribution with accurate organization, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• You will be in charge of Process efficiency & optimization for operational processes, storage, and inventory management.
• Ensure quality control of the seeds by implementing protocols for seed handling, sorting, storage, and distribution to minimize seed losses.
• Oversee the proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation, etc.) for potato seed tubers
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Conducting regular stock audits, periodic physical counts, and reconciling inventory records
• Recruit and train casual or temporary staff for seed handling, packaging, and distribution

Qualifications

• Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
• 1+ years of Experience and working knowledge of Inventory management, stock control, and potato seed store
• 1+ year of experience with assessing post-harvest quality of seeds, especially potato seeds, will be an advantage
• Degree (A0/A1) in agronomy, crop production, agriculture, supply chain management, or any other field
• Deep technical knowledge and understanding of potato diseases and pests in the store
• Coordination skills and basic data management using a spreadsheet
