Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) is an international NGO, founded in Norway as the labour movement’s humanitarian solidarity organization. NPA supports civil society organisations and citizens in Rwanda to participate in and contribute to the formulation and implementation of national and local policymaking, planning, and governance.

Vacancy
We are looking to hire a Communications Consultant to join our team for a short-term 6-weeks assignment. The Communications Consultant’s focus will be to help establish and manage NPA’s Social Media platforms and institutionalize their use among staff while developing and implementing social media guidelines, systems, procedures, and tools. She/he will also; update our web pages on NPA’s website, write and disseminate publicity material and undertake other relevant activities as assigned by Line Management and as per Terms of Reference approved prior to the commencement of the Consultancy.

To succeed as a Communications Consultant, you should be able to think creatively, work with limited supervision, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Equivalent experience undertaking similar assignments is also strongly desired as is proficiency in design and publishing software.

Key Deliverables
• Help establish and manage NPA’s Social Media platforms
• Institutionalize their use among staff
• Develop and implement social media guidelines, systems, procedures, and tools consistent with NPA’s guidelines.
• Update Rwanda’s webpages on NPA’s website
• Write and disseminate publicity material
• Undertake other relevant activities as assigned by Line Management

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in a communications role or as a Consultant.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
