Introduction

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federally owned international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations. The GIZ Office in Kigali covers GIZ’s portfolio in Rwanda and Burundi. GIZ Rwanda/Burundi implements projects on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Union and other commissioning authorities in the following priority areas: Sustainable Economic Development; Good Governance; Climate, Energy and Sustainable Urban Development; Digitalization and Digital Economy; and regional projects in the Great Lakes Region.

1. Context

Under the Climate, Energy and Sustainable Urban Development cluster (CEU) which is among areas of cooperation between Rwanda and Germany, a number of projects under the CEU cluster are being implemented which include (1) Support to Rwanda’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), (2) Energizing Development (EnDev), (3) Policy Dialogue and Knowledge Management on Low Emissions Development Strategies (DIAPOL-CE), and (4) Waste Management and Circular Economy among others. In addition, more projects will join soon the CEU cluster, and more staff will be onboard soon. Hence, they will need more space and new office furniture.

• The supplier is requested to submit his/her offer which includes clear and complete technical specifications of proposed items (this will be the basis for technical evaluation against specifications provided) and quotation for unit price and total price for the item.
• The offer must be in PDF and the price must be in RWF and VAT excluded.

Delivery Place: GIZ Office KG546 Street 1 (Kacyiru) Golden Plaza Building Kigali, Rwanda.

• Delivery period: Please indicate your shortest delivery period.
• Payment conditions: up to 10 days after delivery and invoicing.

Your offer should be valid for 30 days and should contain the following:

• Your offer as described above
• RDB registration certificate
• VAT registration certificate
• Valid Tax clearance certificate
• Three (3) Referees or references certificates of similar tenders executed in the last 5 years.
