JOB DETAILS:

  Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure the supervision of the geospatial data collection
• Coordinate GIS activities and the geospatial database
• Digitize the rural settlement related data collected from the field;
• Geo- reference the scanned imagery;
• Data cleaning, entry, visualization and maintenance;
• Develop and implement an organizational structure for collection, entry, retrieval and management of rural settlement related data;
• Contribute to all activities related to spatial data quality control, data consistency and completeness;
• Identify commonly- used databases;
• Design the proposal of GIS Rural settlements projects for submission to potential grants providers.
• Perform any other technical tasks in his/her domain of expertise as may be requested by the team leader.

Job Qualifications: A0 in Geography, GNSS, Land Survey, with experience of 2 years in rural settlement planning or Master’s degree in Geography, GNSS, Land Survey.
