JOB DETAILS:

MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT .

Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate the Ministry statistical system
•Improve the relevance, quality, timeless and accessibility of Ministry official statistics
•Work with other Ministries and local government units, Civil SocietyOrganization and NGO’s in the development of statistical indicators, design of surveys or enhancement of statistical systems,Review and upto date Ministry data
•Work with Public relation officers and publish and disseminate data produced by MOE and other government entities in a single publication such as natural resources, management indicators and their contribution to economic indicators,
•Conduct participatory data collection for planning, monitoring and evaluation in terms of concepts, methodology, responsibilities, procedures and frequency and ensure vertical and horizontal integration
•Develop and implement management and sharing information system for planning data, financial and budget management, physical achievements on one hand comparing expected results and socio impact on other hand
•Assume and organize trainings on sector level in database management, upto date and a whole system maintenance
•Assume and organize trainings on Districts level the aim is to enhance the decentralized entities capacity in planning, monitoring and evaluation and data collection

A0 in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
- Deep understanding of Research Methodologies and Statistics Concepts;
- Knowledge of Rwanda's Trade and Industrial Policies and Strategies;
- Knowledge of various statistical software packages;
- Knowledge to Prepares and publishes statistical and technical reports and research papers;
- Knowledge of the theory, systems and application of statistical research methodology;
- Computer Skills;
- Organizational Skills;
- Communication Skills;
- High analytical Skills;
- Time management Skills;
- Team working Skills;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage.
