PUBLIC TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT 

Tender title: Supply and distribution of chickens/laying hens (SASSO) to the beneficiaries of GIKURIRO KURI BOSE Project in Nyanza and Nyamasheke Districts.

The deadline for submission of bids: 20^th March 2024 at 10:00 am (Kigali Time).

DUHAMIC-ADRI is a national non-governmental organization legally operating in Rwanda under the legal personality n° 943/05 with a mission of “Supporting integrated development through the initiatives of the rural population in their struggle for self-development”.

DUHAMIC-ADRI under the USAID funded program “Inclusive Nutrition and Earlier childhood development “GIKURIRO KURI BOSE” program through Catholic Relief Services is implementing the program in 10 sectors of Nyanza District and 15 sectors of Nyamasheke District.

In this regards, DUHAMIC-ADRI invites interested and qualified local poultry breeders, individuals/companies fulfilling the requirements to submit their competitive bid documents to supply below listed items (in 2 different lots to DUHAMIC-ADRI):

THE BIDDER SHALL SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:

1. The motivation letter addressed to executive secretary of DUHAMIC ADRI;
2. A copy of RDB registration certificate;
3. Valid Tax clearance certificate provided by Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA),
4. Valid Social Security Clearance issued by RSSB,
5. Proof of having electronic billing machine (EBM): A copy of invoice submitted in the past;
6. Proven experience in providing similar services (at least 3 references);
7. Commitment letter to supply all chickens within a reasonable period of 15 calendar days from the date of receiving the purchase order;
8. Quotation showing unity costs per chicken (taxes & transport from farm to destination/sector level in Nyanza or Nyamasheke Districts);

Note:

• ONLY hard copies will be received at DUHAMIC-ADRI secretariat;
• The bidder should apply for ONLY ONE LOT (Nyanza or Nyamasheke) depending on his/her choice otherwise he/she will not be considered;
• The supplier must ensure that all chickens have received all required vaccines and prevent any stress caused during delivery time;
• Sex ratio: 100% of chickens (Laying SASSO) to be distributed should be Females;
• NYANZA: The supplier must ensure that chickens/laying hens (SASSO) to be supplied are collected in nearby districts: Nyanza, Gisagara, Ruhango and/or Huye district in order to maximize their adaptability, however the supplier will be requested to replace the possible death of chicken for a period of 14 days after delivery.
• NYAMASHEKE: The supplier must ensure that chickens/laying hens (SASSO) to be supplied are collected in nearby districts: Nyamasheke and/or Rusizi districts in order to maximize their adaptability however the supplier will be requested to replace the possible death of chicken for a period of 14 days after delivery.
• Local breeders in targeted districts fulfilling the basic requirements are highly encouraged to compete;

Bids must be submitted not later than 20^th March 2024 at 10:00 AM at DUHAMIC ADRI head office located in Kigali/ Kicukiro Niboye where public opening will be organized at the same day at 10:30 AM.
