Title: Power DC Product Analyst
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Reports to: BBOXX Power DC Product Manager
Role brief
The BBOXX Power DC Range is composed of solar home systems and appliances that go with them. These systems are designed to provide energy to everyone from rural off-grid customers who need three lights at an affordable to urban customers who want refrigeration and a large TV. The product analyst will work with the Power DC Product Manager to develop the roadmap and vision for this range and make this vision come to life. They will assist with pilot management, project coordination, B2B communication, and anything else needed to develop and manage the product range.
The Power DC Product Analyst should have a deep passion for understanding customer needs and translating those into actionable insights. They will need a versatile skill set, ideally including customer research, project management, basic business modelling, and some engineering knowledge. They should be an excellent communicator, and equally comfortable talking to BBOXX management staff in a boardroom as customers in rural areas. .

Responsibilities
• Working with the Power DC manager to develop product strategy and roadmaps for products in the DC range.
• Working with the Power DC product manager to coordinate with the hardware development, sourcing, process, and finance teams to design and produce products within the range.
• Designing and managing pilots to test new products and services or new features for existing products and services.
• Designing, conducting, and coordinating customer research to learn about and test the product design and business model for products in the range.
• Analyzing data from customer research and other sources in order to derive actionable insights and guide product development and management.
• Conducting online research as needed to learn about competition, markets, etc. to assist in product development.
• Writing and assembling communications about product changes through presentation and word documents.
• Other work as needed to develop and manage products in the Power DC range.

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in engineering, product design, business, or another relevant field.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to coordinate a large number of moving parts.
• Top-notch communication skills, particularly with colleagues in international offices.
• Experience conducting customer research, both in the form of surveys and in-person interviews
• Basic data analysis skills, particularly in Excel, and ability to generate insights from data.
• A familiarity with business fundamentals is preferred, ideally with some experience creating and using business models.
• Experience in visual design, human design, or mechanical/electrical engineering a plus, but not required.
