JOB DETAILS:
QA/Accreditation Senior Officer
Level:4.II
Job description
• . Design, develop, implement, maintain the quality system in NCBT;
• 2. Work closely with medical directors to ensure only safe blood is issued and stop distribution if safety is compromised;
• 3. Develop and ensuring performance of validation protocol
• 4. Assess acceptability of validation and calibration results and follow-up actions
• 5. Ensure performance of installation, maintenance and calibration procedures prior to use, after repairs and at prescribed intervals
• 6. Ensure appropriate quarantine processes are initiated when appropriate
• 7. Review, initiate corrective action(s) (as appropriate) and/or approve all quality control and proficiency
• 8. Trend data and develop reports related to deviations, non-conformances, errors and accidents
• 9. Assess all deviation reports, determination and implementation of corrective actions and approval of corrective action reports
• 10. Establish internal assessment plan and program
• 11. Report to Head of Division
• In collaboration with Mobilization, Platelet Immunohematology, Serology and Laboratory Operations Specialist:
• Ensure critical supplies are inspected and Quality control is performed prior to use
• Develop policies, processes and procedures
• Collect data on Quality Indicators
• Establish Corrective Action and Preventive Action for adverse events
• Ensure training on quality documents
• Validate processes, equipment and softwares

In collaboration with Directors of units:
• Authorize deviations to procedures when required
• Ensures strict compliance to change control process

In collaboration with Head of Division:
- Schedule the management review of the quality system and make presentation to executive management as per procedures
- Drive NCBT to accreditation and ensures its maintenance

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences with a training in blood transfusion techniques and training in Quality Management System

• Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with a training in blood transfusion techniques and training in Quality Management System
