About the Role
We are looking for professional Transport Officers/drivers with more than 2 years of experience. The transport officers will support our our staffing team to meet field needs, travel needs, and other transport logistical support needs. Our transport officers are here to support the mission of our organization, by transporting our staff,field supplies and maintaining our fleet in excellent condition.
You will be expected to engage with the day-to-day needs of our staff, and Corporate Operations team, and ensure they are excellently supported while pushing forward improvements to our customer service and fleet maintenance work.

Responsibilities
Logistics Support

1. Safely transport OAF staff and officials to and from the field
2. Transport materials and equipment to the field.

Vehicle Maintenance
1. Ensure that the assigned vehicle is compliant with the OAF minimum operating standards and OAF Vehicle Policy requirements
2. Perform minor repairs, submit maintenance and service requests to the transport manager ensure that the vehicle under their care, is kept clean and in good running condition.
3. Ensure safety and custody of the vehicles including tools.
4. Ensure availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, registration, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle.
5. Ensure that, in the event of an accident involving our vehicle, the necessary steps required by rules and regulations are followed.
6. Ensure the logbook is up to date.
7. Conduct weekly vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle under your care is in good working condition.

Customer Service
1. Exchange relevant information and maintain an open line of communication with colleagues and your manager
2. When the need arises, translate the local language for the international staff /or official personnel when using the car.
3. Participate in driver meetings

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
We ask that you have a high school certificate in any field, valid driver's license B and D.
1. Sound knowledge of road safety regulations, working knowledge of local roads and routes, ability to utilize maps, GPs systems, and car manuals.
2. Punctual and reliable, customer service and working knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
