BACKGROUND

Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international humanitarian and development Non-Governmental Organization in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). GNI strives to improve lives, especially children's lives, through community development projects. In order to complete its staff, Good Neighbors International would like to recruit different staff with the following positions:

Position: Accountant (AD) Based in Huye

Key responsibilities included;

• To guarantee a good budget safekeeping of the institution with transparency
  
• To manage budget execution regularly and do a financial report
  
• To manage bank accounts for project sites, check and record financial transactions.
  
• To assist monthly/quarterly/annual project budget analysis and financial report (cash journal)
  
• To recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
  
• To maintain accounting controls assisting AD Manager to prepare policies and
  procedures
  
• To maintain financial security by following internal controls with confidentiality
  
• To execute a budget in a transparent way
  
• To do filing regularly according to monthly activities
  
• To prepare monthly vouchers
  
• Shall take care of office equipment and office materials.
  
• Shall not disclose or divulge during or after his/her service any confidential
  information obtained through his/her work.
  
• Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the
  employee.
  

Qualifications and skills;

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or any related field with 2-3 years‘ experience in procurement functions of the well-known organization or Institution;
  
• Ability to manage accounting projects with strong organizational and communication skills
  
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Applications, as well as Google Drive
  Applications
  
• Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  
• High level of undeniable integrity at work and trust worth
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team
  
• Practices high ethical and confidentiality standards
  
• Strong verbal and written skills in English, Kinyarwanda and for French required.
