JOB DETAILS:
AB BANK Rwanda Plc. is urgently looking for an experienced Agro Project manager. The Agro Project Manager is responsible for collecting all required agricultural data as well as proposing agricultural products and set up a process for agro loans. The duration of the assignment is approximately 3 months renewable, with a possibility of permanent recruitment as agro Product manager after the completion of the pilot. .

Major Tasks:
Data collection:
• Main types of crops/livestock per region/district
• Seasonality for each crops/region
• Average yield/ha (identify main drivers of yield: seeds, fertilizers, irrigation, mechanization…) for each crops and regions
• Average productivity for livestock (identify main drivers of productivity: races, animal feed…)
• Value chain review for main crops/livestock: main suppliers, main clients, overall organization
• Existing cooperative structure,
• Existing competition for farmer loans (institution name, product description, loan volume, market share if available)
Product design
• Focus group with farmers to understand their needs
• Product proposal based on client's inputs, market competition, and other collected data
Process set-up
• Design of process flow,
• Build up of forms to be used for agro loans,
• Definition of Risk mitigation measures (collaterals, crop insurance…) and lending limits

Person Specification, Necessary Experience, Skills and qualifications:
• Max 30 years old
• Bachelor degree in Agriculture or related field, preferably with an actual farming background
• Experience (or training) in Project Management would be a plus.
• Smart, proactive, dynamic, solution driven
• Ability and willingness to work on the field most of the time
• Proficient in English
• Proficient in Computer skills in general, MS Office in particular (outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint…)
• Proficient in financials
• A-driving license would be a plus
