Job Purpose
To provide accurate financial information by preparing, recording and reconciling financial transaction data.


Job Objectives:

  • Prepare and Process Beneficiaries payments via Mobile Money and Tigo Cash by ensuring that all necessary supporting documents are attached, and all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Address all complaints raised by the beneficiaries- due to be paid via Electronic payment from time to time
  • Check accuracy of bills and ensures bills are scanned and sent to Finance Officer on time.
  • Ensure all financial transactions and records are filed and maintained in accordance with organizational and Rwandan laws.
  • Assign "paid stamp" to payments before filling
  • Proper Management of petty cash and petty cash reconciliation, and ensure weekly cash count is done timely
  • Prepare and make cash payments in line with Ed Dev Trust's Policies.
  • Facilitate external audits by providing all required necessary information to auditors
  • Ensure that cash and cash equivalent and financial records are safeguarded and utilized in intended manner.
  • Ensure that financial information is kept with confidentiality and is not exposed to external people
  • Any other duties assigned which contributed the proper financial management of Ed Dev Trust's project.

Person Specification:
Knowledge


Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or any related field
  • Excellent written and oral English Language skills
  • Excellent MS-Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent Time management skills

Experience
Essential:

  • Proven experience of being proactive by identifying areas of concern or areas for improvement
    Skills:


Essential:

  • Must demonstrate the following competencies: Interpersonal skills, efficiency in task execution
  • Ability to compile and analyse data required for reports
  • An effective communicator
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to work to precise deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite packages (Advanced Excel highly desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
