1. Introduction:
Land O'Lakes Venture37 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping communities around the world build economies by strengthening agriculture from farm-to-fork, helping businesses grow, and linking farmers to markets. Since our start in 1981, we have been leveraging nearly 100 years of expertise in crop inputs, agricultural insights, dairy and animal nutrition from our close affiliate, Land O’Lakes, Inc., a farmer-owned agribusiness committed to fulfilling its purpose of feeding human progress.

Land O’Lakes Venture37 is the lead implementer of The USAID funded Feed the Future Rwanda Orora Wihaze in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), MarketShare Associates (MSA), The Manoff Group (TMG), and Urunana Development Communications (Urunana) operating to deliver an innovative market systems development approach empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises. The goal of Orora Wihaze is to sustainably increase access to, availability and consumption of Animal Source Foods through the development of a profitable market. Implemented under a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) contract, the project works across 8 districts of Rwanda including Burera, Gakenke, Nyamagabe, Nyamasheke, Rutsiro, Ngororero, Kayonza and Ngoma Districts.
Since 2019, Orora Wihaze has supported a variety of enterprises in the animal source food sector (Pork, Fish, Eggs, Chicken and Meat) mainly in the rural districts of Rwanda mentioned above. With funding from USAID, Orora Wihaze has delivered programmatic support to the enterprises as well as grants for business growth and development
.
2. Objective of the assignment:
As a USAID funded Feed the Future Activity, Orora Wihaze is required to observe the branding and marking guidelines as set forth by the Feed the Future Branding and Marking Guide. Due to this requirement Venture37 seeks the services of a competent firm or individual to promote brand visibility of the Feed the Future Rwanda Orora Wihaze Activities for 1 year period for the provision of design, branding, layout and production of relevant materials/ supplies.
The Firm/Individual will identify, design, and produce different branded materials that can be used to improve and promote visibility of the project activities. All these should be submitted in the technical and financial proposals.

3. Expected outcome.
The Activity brand and visibility in all the eight (8) districts will be promoted at key field events and stakeholders activities including at partner co-funded projects in form of visual signage, video and audio acknowledgement of USAID and Feed The Future.

4. Key tasks/activities
Under the supervision of the Venture37 Office Manager, the Firm/Individual will lead the preparation of the proposed graphic layout for materials and supplies in accordance with the Feed the Future Branding and Marking Guide for the Orora Wihaze Activity. The Firm/Individual shall be expected to follow the below procedures in successfully executing the assignment:
• Conceptualizing and producing layouts, designs, and providing alternative proposals with three different concepts and designs for each item including:
• Producing infographics, web/graphic designs for websites, social media platforms, e-newsletters, mailers, power point presentations whilst following the design guidelines.
• Participating and providing inputs to preparatory meetings for new campaigns/initiatives.
• Submit the preliminary layouts (or mock-up) for discussion with Orora Wihaze
• Revise the selected layout as discussed with Orora Wihaze
• Submit the designs to Orora Wihaze for proofreading (incorporating various corrections/additions)
• Obtain a final sign off from Orora Wihaze before submitting electronic files to the printer.
• Coordinate with Venture37 Office Manager and printers to ensure quality of the end-result.
• Submit all final printed hard copies of all materials as well as electronic soft copies.
• Identify opportunities for improving brand visibility in across different Orora Wihaze partnerships for example, signposts, car branding, kiosk branding, equipment branding etc as may be applicable.
• Production and delivery of branded materials to identified locations of use on a timely basis.

5. Qualification and Experience Requirements
• Legally registered firm or individual in Rwanda
• The Firm/Individual shall demonstrate in house capacity (staff, equipment) to deliver all the necessary tasks as outlined above.
• Demonstrate experience in producing an innovative and intuitive designs.
• Knowledge of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms, including excellent working knowledge of MAC OS, InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office as well as other graphic tools along with graphic optimization skills
• Firm or individual with prior experience designing similar projects with Orora Wihaze and or other reputable organizations.
• Excellent written and spoken Kinyarwanda and English language.
• The Firm/Individual must guarantee timely delivery of designs as agreed.
• Professional designer /graphic design company with a clear and mature style of design
• Ability to deliver timely and high-quality products under tight deadline.
• Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards.
• Ability to think out-of-the-box and present complex issues in a simple and clear manner.
• Firm/Individual has an experience in commercial print management is an advantage.
6. Intellectual Property
All information pertaining to this project as well as outputs produced under this contract shall remain the property of Feed the Future Rwanda Orora Wihaze who shall have exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of the assignment, the products shall not be disclosed to the public nor used in whatever format without written permission of Orora Wihaze in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable (including display as part of work portfolio).

• The application email should attach a comprehensive technical proposal as one (1) document in PDF format clearly stating all the materials that can be used to improve visibility of the project.
• A Proposal that includes: (i) a brief description of why you consider yourself as the most suitable for this assignment, (ii) a detailed and clear methodology on how you will approach and complete the assignment, and (iii) a duly completed Letter of Confirmation of Interest and Availability.
• The Proposal should also contain: (iv) personal CV indicating education background/professional qualifications, all relevant experience, contact details, (v) professional references, and (vi) a financial proposal.

8. Evaluation Criteria
The firm/individual will be evaluated against the following criteria:
• Quality of proposal – 30%
• Experience and proven capabilities – 30%
• Applicant’s relevant knowledge, qualifications, and skills – 20%
• Cost proposal – 20%

9. Payment modalities
• Payment shall be done on completion and approval of each milestone as agreed under the assignment contract.
