Corporate Social Responsibility Programme Manager (CSR PM)
Summary of the Position: The Corporate Social Responsibility Programme Manager drives the community development strategy for NFC in Rwanda, providing leadership, strategic direction, and effective and practical on the ground management of the implementation and improvement of the program and its impacts. This program’s objective is twofold:
Maximize value-add to the company through comprehensive, proactive risk mitigation
Maximize the socio-economic development impact of community partnership projects in the communities surrounding NFC’s plantations..

Experience required to perform this role
• Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience in Africa, preferably working in community development, government relations, social enterprise.
• Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems
• Experience fundraising for sizeable program budgets
• Experience establishing and enhancing stakeholder relations and engagement
• Experience with support for community business development is desirable
• Previous agriculture or forestry experience is desirable
• Proven success in proposal/grant application development is highly desirable.

• Mentoring and capacity building of reporting staff; leading and managing teams
• Interest in working in an entrepreneurial, start-up, fast-growth environment
• Comprehensive report writing, interpersonal communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Impressive relationship building and management skills from community members to national government officials to funders
• Very practical and effective in problem-solving and crisis management
• Understanding of entire Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, etc.
• Equally comfortable facilitating a community meeting as a representative of the Company or at a senior management meeting.
Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda; ability to learn or existing knowledge of other relevant languages.
Qualifications:
• The minimum education level of a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s preferred.
• Ability to drive cars in class B and Possession of a valid driver’s license
