JOB DETAILS:
An exciting opening has arisen in our Rwanda programme for a Finance Officer. The purpose of this job is to ensure that the financial affairs of the Tearfund Rwanda Programme are managed ethically and professionally and provide effective and efficient general Administrative Support.
This position supports the programme in maintaining a good system of financial record-keeping and sound internal control systems in compliance to Tearfund's standards in order to safeguard the organization's assets, mitigate against the risk of financial loss/fraud and satisfy donor/statutory audit requirements. It is also responsible for accounts processing, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all payments, purchase ledger, expenses and bank transactions.
Tearfund is looking for a candidate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a good command of the English language and Kinyarwanda, experience in working with financial software and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs and able to live and work in Rwanda.
The Annual gross salary set for the Finance Officer is RWF 17,208,192.00.
The post involves potential contact with children/ vulnerable adults and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. .
