Job Description
• Participate in development of strategic documents regarding control and prevention of Food and Water Borne Disease’s(FWD)
• Investigate FWD outbreaks and supervise the implementation of recommendations for prevention and control.
• Analyze existing standards and data for provide guidance to the development of new standards
• operating procedures related to food safety crisis management and consumer's communication.
• Accomplishes other task assigned by his/her superior

Job Profile
• Bachelor’s Degree in General Medicine, Public Health, Global Health or food Science and Technology.
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
• Knowledge of public health communicable disease control, planning and policy development, analyzing data, concise reporting, and surveillance of communicable diseases
• Technical and practical experience in detection and investigation of food and waterborne outbreaks;
• Excellent knowledge of communicable disease epidemiology and surveillance;
• Managerial skills for the development implementation and analysis of immunization and surveillance projects and activities, including budget programming and control;
• Sound knowledge of tools, particularly analytical epidemiological tools, for outbreak investigation;
• Development of measurable objectives, operational plans and measurable indicators/targets for public health programs and project;
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Rwandan Health system;
• Planning & Organizational skills;
• Research Skills & Writing skills;
• Creative, proactive, customer focused, solutions led and outcome driven skills;
• Interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills;
• Time Management skills;
• Computer skills;
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage.
