Job Description
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy Technicians
• Evaluate a patient’s condition and develop an appropriate physical rehabilitation plan
• Help patients to improve their mobility
• Relieve patient’s pain using exercises, hands on therapy, stretching, and physical therapy devices
• Teach patients how to use physical therapy devices
• Help patients through their tasks and monitor their performance
• Tell patients what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation
• Educate patients and families regarding the recovery process
• Make regular activity report
• Ensuring the quality of care within the Service
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activity reports
• Controlling the spread of infection based on sterilization standards
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned by his/her supervisors
• Undertake comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs. To formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programs, ensuring effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge is achieved.
• Participate in ward rounds with physicians
• Maintain patient documentation, records and accurate statistical information to reflect care provided and to meet professional standards and local and national guidelines.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of Clinical Governance, including ability to audit own and team practice in conjunction with special interest groups.
• Submit monthly, quarterly and annually report to the supervisor
• Perform other related duties as required

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
• Office Management Skills;
• Excellent Communication, Organizational, Interpersonal Skills;
• Computer knowledge (Work Processing, Power Point and Internet)
• Analytical and problem solving skills;
• Time management skills;
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; Knowledge of all is an advantage
