Job Description
• Ensure the role of System Administrator for electronic integrated disease surveillance and response system (eIDSR) and collaborate with appropriate entities to upgrade the system;
• Collaborate to elaborate, update and harmonize health facility reporting tools and data analysis books;
• Analyze regularly surveillance data to detect timely unusual event, ensure quality of data and provide feedback to concerned people
• Communicate timely to appropriate entities any probable outbreak for a quick response
• Promote utilization of surveillance data for decision making
• Train health facilities on utilisation of electronic surveillance system, data management and data analysis
• Ensure supervision of public and private health facilities to strengthen and maintain quality of integrated diseases surveillance and response
• Evaluate eIDSR and implement related recommendations to improve quality of surveillance and response system

Job Profile
• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health , Global Health , Epidemiology or Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or Field Epidemiology & Laboratory Training Program (FELTP)
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
• Knowledge of public health communicable disease surveillance, analyzing data, concise reporting, and surveillance of communicable diseases;
• Knowledge of communicable disease surveillance;
• Development of measurable objectives, operational plans and measurable indicators/targets for public health programs and project;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with donors, implementing partners and other stakeholders;
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Rwandan Health system;
• Planning & Organizational skills;
• Research Skills & Writing skills;
• Creative, proactive, customer focused, solutions led and outcome driven skills;
• Interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills;
• Time Management skills;
• Computer skills;
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage.
