The Position
Davis College is seeking a self-motivated, creative and detail oriented Junior Developer/SalesForce Administrator to join our Business Operations team in Kigali, Rwanda. This role will work closely with the Senior Developer and SalesForce Administrator to meet the fundraising, communications, and program needs of a dynamic and rapidly growing international organization.
You’ll interface with departments across the organization as you participate in developing applications and implementing system improvements, support end users, help ensure the usability and integrity of our data and systems and troubleshoot problems as they arise. This position offers a chance to be mentored by a seasoned Developer and SalesForce Administrator while gaining a deeper understanding of SalesForce and developing proprietary apps and platforms..

Job Responsibilities:
Data Maintenance (SalesForce)
• Performing ongoing analysis of the Salesforce.com account database to improve reporting and usability and eliminate duplicate records.
• Assist in data entry for all records in Salesforce following standard operating procedures (SOPs) across different departments in the organization.
• Create new and update existing records through data import and export using Excel, data import wizard, and data loaders when necessary.
Feature Maintenance, Integration & Implementation (SalesForce)
• Create and implement changes to applications, objects, fields, workflows, processes, flows, validation rules, approval processes, email alerts, advanced formulas, page layouts, record types as requested by your Supervisor.
• Participate in the configuration, testing, and deployment of SalesForce functionality.
• Participate in the design of data integration to connect Salesforce.com to other systems.
• Monitor and maintain all peripheral systems and related SalesForce syncs and integrations.
• Monitor and maintain existing features as requested by your Supervisor.
Application Troubleshooting and Software Development
• Manually troubleshoot internal apps and internally developed platforms.
• Fix application bugs with minimal guidance from Senior Developer.
• Engage in software development as requested.
• Create use cases from departmental requests.
Data and Reporting
• Develop Salesforce.com reports, analytics and dashboards to support and monitor key performance metrics.
• Regularly monitor and test existing reports and dashboards to maintain integrity of reporting.
Process Automation (SalesForce)
• Use process builder, workflows and other automation tools to automate routine tasks/processes.
• Identify and report unused processes in process builder.
Training & Support
• Provide prompt real-time support for issues relating to Salesforce and integrated applications.
• Create and maintain effective documentation on integrations, processes, and other solutions.
• Organize all training materials in Google drive and enable access to relevant users.
Other
• Assist in the on-boarding and training of new Salesforce.com users.
• Assist with large-scale data improvement projects within Salesforce and integrated applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in the fields of Information Technology or Information Systems
• Advanced level of English in all four skill areas - Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.
• Experience with a variety of development languages
