The Next Einstein Forum is a platform that connects science, society and policy in Africa and the rest of the world with the goal to leverage science for human development globally. The NEF believes that Africa’s contributions to the global scientific community are critical for global progress. At the center of our efforts at NEF, is Africa’s young people, the driving force for Africa’s scientific renaissance. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Partnership Specialist is responsible to engage with key partners (Public and private sector, NGO’s) both nationally and internationally to build mutually beneficial partnerships, advocating strategies to accelerate the NEF work As the ideal candidate, you will support the fundraising activities for the NEF Global Gathering 2020, support the fundraising activities for the NEF Foundation, create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management, identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails etc., organize targeted fundraising events/ tours, research partners, identify key players and generate interest, collaborate with senior management to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships, represent the Next Einstein Forum at meetings and events and prepare financial and narrative reports according to partner requirements. This is a 1-year opportunity based at the candidate’s home office. .

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, social sciences or other relevant field, an MBA is an asset;
• At least five years’ experience managing projects with clear partnership experience;
• Demonstrated fundraising successes;
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Fully Equipped Home Office and self-sufficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publishing) and web-based applications (Dropbox, Google, Skype and SharePoint);
• Strategic thinker;
• Networking aptitude;
• Great multitasking skills;
• Attention to details.
