About the role
Participates actively in regular management meetings. Responsible for managing the brand portfolio to increase brand awareness and grow sales in the various segments of Retail, Lubricants, LPG and Fuel Card
Responsible for managing the non-fuel portfolio of activities to create value through the growth of our shop, food and partnership activities.

Responsibilities
• Develop, write and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content
• Carry out execution of promotional and educational videos, organization of communications for
• industry specific events and trade shows, and production of targeted email campaigns
• Promote communications and marketing materials through appropriate social media channels
• Upholding company brand across various channels such as the social media, by working with the group marketing communications team to create the relevant content
• Manage all internal communications.
• Be the key leading person in organizing all campaigns and product promotions
• Ensure that all communications and marketing materials aligns with brand standards
• Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos
• Work with the group communication team members to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns
• Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise
• Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
• Put in place measures of recording success in marketing and communication efforts, gather result data and produce reports for the management team
• Coordinate company’s involvement in the activities of community organization
• Assist in hiring contractor, including copywriters, advertising and marketing agencies, and external consultant and serve as a liaison with contractors
• Ensure compliance to HSE standards in all operations

Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in following field: Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, Business
• 3- 5 years prior experience in a communications or marketing role
• FMCG experience and/or in brand management is an advantage
• Good organizational, time management, relationship management and communication skills
• Good problem-solving ability with vision and creativity
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills
• Computer literate and able to work under minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

JOB DETAILS:

POSITION: Marketing and Communications Manager

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

REPORTS TO: General Manager

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

The Marketing & Communications Manager, Park Inn by Radisson Kigali is responsible for the planning, direction, control, and coordination of all Marketing and Communication activities in the hotel, with an emphasis on Public Relations, Branding, Social Media, Content Marketing, CRM, Partnerships, B2B Marketing / Sales support and B2C Marketing. They  will report directly to the hotel General Manager, with a dotted line to Marketing Manager, Africa and Area PR & Social Media Manager - Middle East & Africa.

TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the development and effective implementation of Marketing and Public Relations strategies for the hotel

Working closely with the General Manager and the hotel’s wider commercial team to ensure development of the hotel strategies and activity roll-out and execution

In parallel, working closely with the ASO MarCom team to ensure alignment on all strategies and activities
