FINANCIAL SAFETY COMPANY (FISA CO) PLC a microfinance institution registered by Rwanda Development Board under company code number 103127995 and licensed by National Bank of Rwanda (BNR). It was established on 4 November, 2013 and operating in Rwanda with the main value Inclusive finance for development, while its main mission is Facilitating access to client driven financial services and accompanying non-financial services to all financial excluded population mainly those living in rural areas, with a particular focus on farmers, entrepreneurs, women and youth especially living in rural areas in order to enable them saving and creating small income generating projects and reduce poverty, headquartered at Rubavu, Tel 0786278862, email: info@fisa.rw is recruiting self-motivated, High Integrity and Ethical Conduct, individuals with excellent communication skills to fill the positions:

Responsibilities or duties

  • Prepare and implement the annual budget and financial plans
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial sustainability
  • Ensure proper accounting records
  • Control expenditures and ensure cost efficiency
  • Supervise treasury operations and fund management
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Submit financial reports to regulators, Board, and donors
  • Ensure accuracy of loan portfolio accounting
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement
  • Coordinate external and internal audits and implement audit recommendations
  • Oversee administrative functions (procurement, assets, logistics, facilities)
  • Ensure proper asset management and inventory control
  • Supervise contracts with suppliers and service providers
  • Ensure effective document management and record keeping
  • Supervise payroll preparation and statutory deductions
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies
  • Participate in staff budgeting, benefits administration, and performance evaluation support
  • Advise the Managing Director and Board on financial implications of decisions
  • Participate in institutional strategy development and business planning
  • etc

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Be of Rwandan nationality;
  • Having held management positions for atleast 3 years;
  • At least have a university degree at bachelor’s level in Accounting,Economics, Management, Finance and other similar fields ;
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the field of microfinance or banks ;
  • Proficiency in Kinyarwanda, English and French;
  • Knowledge of computer use with at least one banking software. Knowledge of other accounting software would be an asset;
  • Having good communication, adaptation and writing skills;
  • Be conscientious;
  • To be of good moral character and social reputation;
