About IIA Rwanda

The Institute of Internal Auditors Rwanda (IIA Rwanda), is the National Professional Body that advocate for and promotes the development and professionalization of the internal audit function in Rwanda through capacity-building initiatives, availing of internal audit resources, and advocacy. It is the local chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors Global (IIA Global) and an affiliate member of the African Federation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (AFIIA).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. IT Systems and Infrastructure

  • Manage and maintain the institute’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
  • Ensure system security, data backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff and members.
  • Oversee procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment.

2. Knowledge Management

  • Develop and manage digital knowledge repositories and document management systems.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing among members through online platforms, portals, and newsletters.
  • Support training programs with e-learning tools and digital resources.
  • Ensure proper archiving and retrieval of institutional knowledge.

3. Website and Digital Platforms

  • Manage and update the institute’s website and social media platforms.
  • Publish events, announcements, and resources in a timely manner.
  • Enhance user experience and accessibility of online platforms.

4. Event Support and Member Engagement

  • Design and issue certificates of participation/attendance for trainings and events.
  • Develop and administer post-event surveys to collect feedback from participants.
  • Analyze survey results and prepare reports to inform future improvements.
  • Support with digital tools that enhance member engagement during and after events.

5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve IT and knowledge management systems.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to support the institute’s mission.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Knowledge Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT systems administration or knowledge management.
  • Strong knowledge of database management, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
