JOB ADVERTISEMENT – MCC ENGINEER
Job Title: MCC Engineer
Department: Maintenance & Engineering
Location: Kigali International Airport
Job Purpose
The MCC Engineer reports to the MCC Manager and is responsible for the conduct of Maintenance Control Center (MCC) activities. The MCC Engineer is responsible for coordinating and efficient scheduling of maintenance activities that ensures continual operations. Working in close liaison with the Operations Control Center (OCC), the MCC Engineer monitors the overall fleet status and supports planning of maintenance activities to minimize flight disruptions.
1. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the activities within the department and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of maintenance support during line operations;
- Coordinating the accomplishment of maintenance activities with all departments within the organization;
- Monitoring aircraft defects and ensuring defects are corrected;
- Providing aircraft technical support and guidance during operations;
- Coordinating with Operations Control Center (OCC), contracted service providers, maintenance, operations and administration departments on aircraft scheduling and routing;
- Contribute to the revision of MCC procedures;
- Preparing operational reports as required for analysis and continual improvement;
- Promoting the organizational safety culture within MCC;
- Responding to audits conducted by internal and external parties including the application of the required corrective actions for the nonconformities raised during the audit;
- Reviewing of documented aircraft information recorded during operation.
2. Desired Profile: Required education, Experience, and Abilities
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in line maintenance
- Have at least one of the following qualifications:
- Hold, or have held, an aircraft engineer license in category B1 and/or B2
- Have an engineering degree or diploma in any of the following disciplines: aeronautical, avionics, mechanical, electrical or electronics
- Have the following knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to the airworthiness of aircraft authorized to operate under the AOC;
- The procedures related to line maintenance management;
- The relevant parts of the organization manuals related to aircraft maintenance;
- The aircraft maintenance and engineering quality system
- Advanced Information Technology skills and technical data analytical acumen
- Monitoring the activities within the department and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of maintenance support during line operations;
