About the Role
The candidate will be based in Kigali where one of our subsidiaries, Salvo Grima Rwanda (SGR), was established in 2020, and today employs over 100 team members. SGR is a distribution company and represents a growing number of world-leading manufacturers including Prohealth, Unilever, Danone, British American Tobacco, Kellogg’s, SC Johnson, Mondelez International, KimFay and Mars Wrigley.
Salvo Grima Rwanda provides an opportunity for Energetic Rwandan to Apply for the Post of Medical Representative who will be responsible for providing support to the Commercial Department.
Job Summary:
This Medical Representative plays a key part in the successful launch and expansion of a leading German company specializing in ophthalmology and eye care solutions. This role will be responsible for promoting a range of ophthalmology pharmaceutical products and medical devices, to HealthCare Professionals across Rwanda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit doctors, specialists, pharmacists, and other relevant stakeholders to promote the Company's range of pharmaceutical and medical devices in both the private and public sectors.
- Plan and execute daily field activities to effectively promote products and achieve sales objectives.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Company's products, through continuous research, to provide accurate and comprehensive information to healthcare providers.
- Create and maintain promotional materials to support commercial activities.
- Identify potential new opportunities in the market.
- Work closely with the sales team to implement product launch strategies and attend training programs to stay updated on product developments and industry regulations.
- Support basic pharmacovigilance activities, including reporting and documentation of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and medical device incidents, in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in medical device vigilance processes, including identification, documentation, and reporting of device-related issues.
- Contribute to the general maintenance and upkeep of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the International Business Manager.
The Candidate must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, science, medicine, or any other related specialty.
- A minimum of three years of experience in the field.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Having a strong experience in ophthalmology sector is an added value.
- High level of motivation, goal-oriented mindset, and a strong drive to achieve results.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess a clean and valid Rwandan driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
