Position Overview

Systems Improvement Manager plays a big role in strengthening the university’s operational excellence in the design, improvement, and oversight of organizational processes, policies, and governance frameworks. This role partners with operational units to ensure that processes are efficient, compliant, scalable, and aligned with the institution’s mission, strategic priorities, and regulatory. It uniquely blends process reengineering, governance oversight, risk management, and stakeholder leadership that enables the university to deliver exceptional services to students, faculty, staff, and the community.

The ideal candidate is a structured thinker, a collaborative problem solver, and a champion for continuous improvement who can translate operational challenges into clear, sustainable, and well governed solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment, mapping, design, and continuous improvement of core administrative and operational processes across the university.
  • Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and risk areas and propose solutions grounded in industry for best practices.
  • Proactively identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies within process and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and audit requirements by maintaining comprehensive process records and reporting structures.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews to ensure processes remain effective, sustainable, and compliant.
  • Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to measure process effectiveness and drive data-informed decision making.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures that support transparency, consistency, and compliance.
  • Ensure alignment of governance practices with legal, accreditation, financial, and ethical requirements relevant to higher education and non-profit sectors.
  • Monitor adherence to established standards and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Support operations strategy to translate strategic directives into actionable process initiatives, project plans, and change management activities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal units to ensure processes, systems, and governance support long-term institutional goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on process and governance best practices.
  • Drive change management related to process improvements, including communication planning, training, and stakeholder readiness assessments.
  • Build strong relationships across the institution to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational alignment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field with a proven track record. (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in process management, organizational and cooperate governance, risks Governance, operations strategy, or related roles
  • Demonstrated experience in business process mapping, process improvement methodologies, or governance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, policy development, and organizational controls in complex institutions.
  • Experience leading multi stakeholder initiatives and managing organizational change.

  • Strong project management capabilities with a structured, organized approach.
