As part of our continued growth and commitment to high-performance mining operations, Management invites applications from competent, qualified, and experienced professionals to fill the following positions. We are looking for individuals who are disciplined, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to a dynamic and purpose-driven mining environment.
Responsibilities or duties
A Welder has the following responsibilities and duties:
- Cuts & Welds Steel and Bolting Pieces
- To ensure tools are in good working condition
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations and Company policies.
- To ensure a safe work environment, Cleaning of work area and tools of work
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to promote a safe working environment.
- To be timeous on tasks and be present at work all the time
- To always be vigilant as it is a risky area,
- Reporting any work issues to the Superior
- Comply with Company work and leave schedules.
- Comply with all Company Policies and Procedures
- Perform any other duties related to your field of work as may be assigned by the Superior.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
The Welder should have the following education, experience and skills:
- A minimum of a Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Certificate III in welding or a related field
- Knowledge in Welding
- A Team Player
- Willing to work overtime or shifts when necessary.
Experience needed
At least 2 years of experience as a welder
