EQUIPMENT, INTERNET INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS, DIGITAL SYSTEM-E-LIBRARY HOSTING AND SYSTEM CAMERA INSTALLATION AT KIRAMURUZI CAMPUS

1. Introduction

The University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) invites qualified and reputable suppliers to submit their applications for the acquisition of computer lab materials, smart classroom equipment, internet installation equipment and materials, digital system-e-library hosting and system camera installation at Kiramuruzi Campus. UTAB is committed to enhancing its service delivery and internet infrastructure to provide seamless connectivity to its students, departments, faculties, and staff.

2. Background

University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (TAB) is a fully accredited community-based university. It started as Institut Polytechnique de Byumba (IPB) and began teaching on 26th January 2006 in Byumba Sector, Gicumbi District, Northern Province, Rwanda. On 20th December 2015, IPB upgraded from the status of institute to that of university under the name of University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB). Currently, UTAB runs three faculties fully accredited by HEC. These include the Faculty of Social Sciences, Management and Development Studies (SSMDS), the Faculty of Education, and the Faculty of Agriculture,

4. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for consideration, suppliers must meet the following criteria:

a. To be legally registered and licensed to operate in Rwanda;

b. To Demonstrate experience in supplying and installing similar equipment and materials in educational institutions.

c. To demonstrate financial stability and capacity to complete the project.

d. To provide evidence of successful installations in comparable projects.

e. Full compliance with all statutory requirements, including tax obligations.

5. Site Visit

A mandatory pre-application site visit is scheduled for Monday 9th October 2023 at 10:00am and at Kiramuruzi Campus, Located in Kiramuruzi Sector. Suppliers who fail to attend the site visit will not be considered for evaluation.

6. Submission of Applications

Completed applications must be sealed in envelopes marked "Application for Internet Installation Equipment and Materials at Kiramuruzi Campus" and submitted to UTAB main Campus Receptionist Office.

The deadline for submission of applications is Thursday 12th October 2023 at 10:00 am. Late applications will not be accepted.

7. Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

a. Technical expertise and experience - 30%

b. Financial proposal - 40%

c. Compliance with technical specifications - 20%

d. Past performance and references - 10%
