Are you a hands-on digital producer with affinity for visual and written language? Join Norrsken Foundation to help setting up East Africa’s biggest hub for entrepreneurs in Kigali. Norrsken helps entrepreneurs solve the world’s biggest challenges. On this journey we need strong storytelling to put the spotlight on entrepreneurs. You will be part of the outstanding Norrsken-team where you will play a pivotal role to build our brand in East Africa and beyond. What problems are we solving: At Norrsken, we’re on a mission to put a positive ding in the universe. How that is articulated and communicated will be crucial to our success. We’re very proud of where we are so far, but we’re just getting started. We want to do bold stuff. Less corporate reports and more authenticity. But at the core, it’s less about Norrsken and more about the entrepreneurs we are supporting. They are the heroes, and the ones who really deserve the spotlight .

The key roles and responsibilities are:
• Develop and deliver new visual and written communication content for Norrsken East Africa; this will include but not limited to photography, video, website, and social media.
• Assist with development of events and exhibitions – including documentation, marketing, planning, duration, pre-production and delivery.
• Responding to comments and member queries in a timely manner
• Identify and pursue new opportunities in social and digital media to increase brand awareness
• Staying up-to-date with trends and events happening across East Africa
• Identifying and engaging influencers across all social channels
• Establishing and fostering new relationships to continually build a pipeline of content providers
• Maintaining Norrsken brand identity throughout programming and events
Creating content such as presentations and templates


Skills and experience:
• An enthusiastic interest in how art, design and storytelling can have a positive impact on business.
• Excellent communication skills – visual, written and verbal
• Thoroughly organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Competent with Adobe Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
• Confident with speaking to a range of partners and collaborators
• Proactive with an ability to work independently and use initiative
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of social media and understanding of web platforms
• Personable, good fun and someone who enjoys their work, taking on new challenges and meeting new people


Qualifications:
• You are a recent graduate or early in your career
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Understanding of social media tools and capabilities, including:
• Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin)
• Digital monitoring
• Influencer outreach
• Social media measurement/analytics
• Detail-oriented, Organised, Self-motivated and Focused on Success
• Ability to productively juggle multiple assignments at once
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with the team
