University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) is a fully accredited community-based university, from 2006. It is located in Byumba Sector, Gicumbi District, Northern Province, Rwanda. As a university, UTAB is engaged in different activities such as academic, research and community outreach. All of those activities aim at raising the quality of education and social transformation. In this bid, UTAB has joined hands with national, regional and international partners to educate and empower our Graduands with knowledge and practical skills.

Currently, UTAB has runs four faculties fully accredited by HEC. These include the Faculty of Social Sciences, Management and Development Studies (SSMDS), the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Agriculture, Environmental Management and Renewable Energy (AEMRE) and the Faculty of Sciences and Technology. UTAB operates in two campuses one at BYUMBA in Northern Province and another one at KIRAMURUZI in Eastern Province. It is in this regards that the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) wishes to recruit 10 qualified, experienced and competent candidates to fill different positions, as follow:

Duties and responsibilities

Develop and implement the University Quality Assurance Policy, framework, action plans, and budget.

Coordinate and monitor quality assurance systems across academic and administrative units.

Ensure compliance with national higher education quality standards and regulations.

Conduct internal audits, reviews, and evaluations of programs, faculties, and departments.

Monitor academic program design, delivery, assessment, and overall academic standards.

Support accreditation processes, institutional reviews, and external quality assessments.

Collect, analyze, and report quality assurance data and institutional performance indicators.

Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance procedures and continuous improvement.

Promote quality enhancement in teaching, research, and institutional operations.

Monitor implementation of quality-related recommendations and institutional policies.

Liaise with external quality assurance and regulatory bodies.

Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the University.

Perform any other related duties assigned by University Management or Senate.

Minimum qualifications required

Applicants must hold a PhD in Educational Sciences with at least five (5) years of working experience in a university or higher learning institution. Candidates should demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness, strong leadership, effective communication, time management, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to work under minimal supervision while ensuring quality and result-oriented service delivery.
