Background
IBAKWE SACCO GATSIBO refers to a District Savings and Credit Cooperative (D-SACCO) established following the consolidation of 14 Umurenge Savings and Credit Cooperative (USACCO’s) and now Ibakwe Sacco Gatsibo has 14branches operating within Gatsibo District, in accordance with the Government of Rwanda SACCO’s consolidation framework and under the supervision of the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) IBAKWE SACCO GATSIBO is looking for qualified, competent, committed, proactive and self-motivated individual to occupy the following position.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Finance and Administration:
- Provide transportation services for staff, management, Board members, and authorized visitors.
- Deliver official correspondence, documents, cash, and other items safely and confidentially.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the assigned vehicle is always roadworthy.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and arrange routine servicing and repairs.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, and official trips.
- Ensure compliance with Rwanda traffic laws, road safety standards, and SACCO transport policies.
- Safeguard the assigned vehicle, accessories, and transported items.
- Report accidents, mechanical faults, and any incidents immediately.
- Support administrative and logistical activities as assigned.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Managing Director that are consistent with the position.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of Advanced Level Certificate (A2) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven driving experience, preferably in a financial institution, cooperative
- Valid Rwandan Driving License (Category A & B).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and routine maintenance.
- Ability to read and write in Kinyarwanda; knowledge of English or French is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Rwanda traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Experience in maintaining vehicle logbooks and conducting daily vehicle inspections.
- Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic offences or criminal convictions.
- Familiarity with roads in Gatsibo District, the Eastern Province, and other parts of Rwanda is an added advantage.

- High level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and outside normal working hours when required.
- Commitment to safety, customer service, and organizational policies.
