JOB DETAILS:

INDATWA SACCO RUSIZI is a saving and credit cooperative created through the consolidation of 18 Umurenge SACCOs operating in Rusizi District, in line with Rwanda’s SACCO reform agenda aimed at strengthening governance, capital adequacy, risk management, and service delivery. The consolidation complies with Law No. 057/2024 governing cooperatives and Law No. 072/2021 governing deposit-taking microfinance institutions, and aligns with BNR regulatory standards.

It is from that background that the Management of INDATWA SACCO RUSIZI informs the public that it is recruiting competent and qualified staff to fill the following positions:

Responsibilities or duties

Under the supervision and guidance of the Logistics and Procurement Officer, the Driver is responsible for:

• Driving SACCO vehicles or motorcycles safely for authorized official activities.
• Transporting staff, management, documents, and official materials as required.
• Conducting daily checks and ensuring proper cleanliness and maintenance of the assigned vehicle or motorcycle.
• Keeping accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, servicing, and movements.
• Reporting faults, accidents, and maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensuring all required vehicle or motorcycle documents are valid.
• Observing traffic laws, road safety requirements, and SACCO policies.
• Performing other duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least a Secondary School Certificate (A2) or equivalent.
• A valid driving permit for the category A & B
• At least 2 years of relevant professional driving experience.
• Experience in driving for an organization or financial institution is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations, and basic vehicle/motorcycle maintenance.
• Good communication skills, discipline, reliability, and a clean driving record.

General Requirement

• To be Rwandan
• Not to have been definitely sentenced to a term of imprisonment equal to or exceeding six (6) months;
• Not to have been dismissed from any other institution unless applicant is entitled to reinstatement under laws and regulations in force;
• Not have been involved in the bankruptcy of a financial institution;

The Driver must observe traffic laws, road safety requirements, and SACCO policies, and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications include at least a Secondary School Certificate (A2) or equivalent, a valid driving permit for categories A & B, and at least 2 years of relevant professional driving experience. Experience in driving for an organization or financial institution is an added advantage. Good knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations, and basic vehicle/motorcycle maintenance is essential, along with good communication skills, discipline, reliability, and a clean driving record. General requirements include being Rwandan, not having been definitely sentenced to imprisonment for six months or more, not having been dismissed from any other institution unless entitled to reinstatement, and not having been involved in the bankruptcy of a financial institution.
