Job Responsibilities:

  1. Tool Development & Performance Analysis:
    • Develop a comprehensive tool to assess forest sector performance.
  2. Research & Extension:
    • Translate research findings into actionable extension messages for program innovations.
    • Create client-centered, research-based extension materials.
  3. Training & Capacity Building:
    • Design tailored forest training modules for professionals.
    • Organize annual competitions for best forest practitioners.
    • Conduct in-service training for field staff and professionals.
    • Train field staff to educate volunteers and resource persons.
  4. Educational Support:
    • Provide field staff with support materials for educational programs.
    • Offer technical guidance to field staff as needed.
  5. Applied Research:
    • Plan and conduct research to address practical challenges in forestry.
    • Identify research gaps and assist in problem-solving.
  6. Public Outreach & Advocacy:
    • Disseminate information via mass media (articles, radio, TV).
    • Engage with forest commodity groups, industries, and organizations.
    • Market the organization’s achievements through exhibitions.
  7. Professional Contributions:
    • Publish articles in journals, newsletters, and policy briefs.
    • Participate in forestry societies and forums.
  8. Additional Duties:
    • Perform other tasks assigned by the NTFP Unit.

Qualifications:

Education (One of the following):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agro-forestryForestry, or Agriculture.
  • No prior experience required (entry-level position).
