About eFiche

eFiche is a Rwanda-based digital health company building AI-powered features across an expanding portfolio of clinical workflows used by nurses and midwives at Rwanda's primary health care facilities. For each clinical domain we work in — from antenatal care to child health to non-communicable diseases — we design and build tailored AI feature sets: decision support interfaces, transcription handling, risk alerts, and clinical summaries. We move fast, iterate closely with frontline users, and care deeply about the quality of what we ship.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to accelerate our ability to build and maintain AI features across this growing portfolio.

Purpose of the Role

The Full-Stack Developer contributes across both the frontend and backend of the AI services platform, helping eFiche build, iterate, and maintain AI features across multiple clinical workflow domains simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain frontend components of AI-enabled features across multiple clinical workflow modules — including decision support interfaces, transcription triggers, risk alerts, and clinical summaries
  • Contribute to backend AI services as needed — API endpoints, data processing logic, output formatting — in collaboration with the AI Services Backend Engineer
  • Support rapid iteration of AI features based on user feedback, QA findings, and clinical validation results from the field
  • Participate in design sprints and prototyping sessions with the UX/HCD Specialist and frontline users as new workflows are onboarded
  • Maintain code quality through peer review, documentation, and testing standards
  • Support release cycles and deployment processes in coordination with the MLOps / Infrastructure Engineer

Required Profile

  • 4+ years of full-stack development experience
  • Proficiency in a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or equivalent) and a backend language (Node.js, Python, or equivalent)
  • Experience consuming and building REST APIs
  • Comfort working in agile, sprint-based environments with multiple workstreams running in parallel
  • Ability to context-switch across different clinical workflow domains as new modules are onboarded
  • UI/UX sensibility and willingness to iterate directly with end users
  • Health tech or EMR experience is an advantage but not required
