JOB OVERVIEW
The HR & Administration Officer ensures that Isôoko has well-managed, motivated, and supported staff, and that all HR and administrative processes are handled efficiently, fairly, and in compliance with internal policies and labor laws. The role actively supports in creating a positive and organized work environment that enables teams to deliver a strong impact in the community while upholding and promoting Isôoko’s values and mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ADMINISTRATION & COMPENSATION
- Support staff welfare initiatives (visits, support during key life events).
- Organize team-building activities and staff engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate the performance management process (goal setting, reviews, appraisals).
- Identify training needs and coordinate capacity-building initiatives.
- Promote and uphold Isôoko’s values and mission in all HR practices, ensuring they are reflected in staff behavior, decision-making, and daily interactions.
- Support the integration of Isôoko’s values into recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff engagement activities.
- Support the implementation of disciplinary procedures in line with labor laws and internal policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and follow-up of disciplinary cases (warnings, hearings, actions taken).

- Manage employee records, contracts, and personal files ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Draft, issue, and update employment contracts and HR documents.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Maintain updated staff database and HR systems.
- Handle onboarding and exit processes (documentation, clearance, etc.).
- Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Coordinate health insurance and staff benefits administration.
- Maintain proper filing systems for HR and administrative documents.
- Manage staff leave processes including leave requests, approvals, tracking, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy.
- Maintain an up-to-date leave tracker and ensure all leave balances are correctly recorded and communicated to staff.
- Ensure the office environment is organized, safe, and functional.
