Job Overview

The Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality massage treatments while ensuring the massage area is professionally managed, clean, and guest-ready at all times. The role focuses primarily on massage services, guest satisfaction, treatment quality, and operational excellence within the massage space.

This position does not include responsibility for developing wellness programs or activities beyond massage services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Massage Therapy Services

  • Deliver professional, high-quality massage treatments tailored to guest needs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of massage techniques and their benefits.
  • Ensure consistent service standards aligned with lodge expectations.

2. Massage Area Management

  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and readiness of massage rooms at all times.
  • Ensure proper setup, ambiance, and presentation of the massage space.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping for linen, cleanliness, and supplies

3. Guest Experience & Engagement

  • Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to all guests
  • Explain massage options clearly and recommend suitable treatments.
  • Encourage repeat bookings and service upgrades where appropriate.

4. Inventory & Equipment Control

  • Monitor massage oils, linens, consumables, and equipment
  • Report low stock levels or faulty equipment in a timely manner
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are well maintained and safe for use

5. Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate treatment records and daily booking logs.
  • Submit basic monthly reports on treatments delivered and guest feedback

Qualifications & Skills

  • Certified Massage Therapist with a valid license
  • Proven experience in massage therapy within a hotel, lodge, or spa setting
  • English language proficiency is required, French is an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Passion for guest care and wellness service delivery

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

1. Massage Quality & Guest Satisfaction

  • Average guest rating for massage treatments: Minimum 4. 5/5
  • Percentage of positive guest feedback related to massage services
  • Number of repeat or recommended massage bookings

2. Service Delivery & Productivity

  • Number of massage treatments delivered per week/month
  • On-time readiness of massage room before each booking
  • Minimal service delays or cancellations due to internal issues

3. Revenue Contribution

  • Monthly massage revenue generated
  • Upselling rate after complimentary or initial treatments

4. Massage Area Management

  • Cleanliness and presentation score from internal inspections
  • Zero unresolved hygiene or safety issues

5. Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Stock availability rate (no service disruption due to stock shortages)
  • Equipment uptime (percentage of tools in working condition)

6. Professional Conduct

  • Compliance with lodge policies and service standards
  • Punctuality and adherence to work schedules
