Molecular Biology Technician

Responsibilities or duties,

• Conduct routine molecular laboratory procedures with minimum supervision
• Perform DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, electrophoresis, another related technique.
• Prepare reagents, media buffers, and laboratory consumable according to developed protocols.
• Provide technical support to researchers and other laboratory personnel
• Assist with the development and optimization of new laboratory protocol
• Operate and maintain molecular biology equipments and ensure proper functioning
• Maintain laboratory records, sample tracking systems, and databases.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, biosafety, and quality assurance
• Data analysis and preparation of technical reports
• Ensure effective and efficient management of resources and assets under responsibilities.
• Support laboratory inventory management
• Ensure timely planning, requisition and procurement of Lab materials/ consumables and equipment
• Undertake any other duties assigned by his/her supervisor

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),

• Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Biotechnology

Experience needed,

• 5 Years of relevant experience
