IntraHealth International is currently seeking a Senior Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) Specialist for an upcoming project in Rwanda. The activity seeks to accelerate reductions in maternal, newborn, and child morbidity and mortality by partnering with the Government of Rwanda (GOR) to strengthen the capacity of host-country institutions and local organizations to improve equitable access and utilization of high-quality, evidence-based, and respectful public health services. Focus areas include maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (MNCAH); family planning (FP) and reproductive health (RH); and malaria prevention and treatment.

The Senior RMNCAH Specialist supports the implementation of reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health activities through training and mentorship, as well as other technical support and supervision, to health providers in project-supported health facilities to improve access to high quality services. S/he works with the project technical team to scale up essential and high impact reproductive, maternal, newborn and childcare interventions across supported districts and health facilities. • Maintain constructive dialogue and technical exchange with other technical counterparts.
• Provide mentoring and capacity building at the individual and organizational level and oversight of work delivered by medical professional associations.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with donors, district-level officials, implementing partners, Ministry of Health (MOH), the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), and public and private sector entities, including relevant professional associations.
• Ensure that implementation of the RMNCAH activities adhere to appropriate national and international strategies and standards.
• Provide technical assistance to the development or adaptation of evidence-based tools to support delivery of quality newborn and child health services.
• Review, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of RMNCAH activities and use data to design improvements in service delivery at all levels.
• Supports the preparation of RMNCAH implementation plans and preparation of progress and periodic reports.
