  • Bachelor’s in finance, Risk management, Economics, statistics, IT, or related fields.
  • Professional qualification: (Certified Risk and Compliance Management professional, ISO 31000 Risk Manager, (CA), (CFA), (FRM) is preferable.

Experience:

  • Two or more years’ experience of relevant work experience in financial risk analysis, credit risk analysis, and financial risk management.
  • Three or more years’ experience within a nontraditional FinTech environment.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and electronic payment business is advantageous
  • Understanding various international risk management and business continuity standards

Job description

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:

To perform a comprehensive assessment of risks impacting the company. This includes evaluating both inherent and residual risk exposures, identifying emerging risks, and assessing the effectiveness of existing controls. Providing actionable, risk-based recommendations aimed at mitigating risks and supporting the development and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation strategies, control enhancements, and monitoring mechanisms. Timely execution of risk responses and alignment with the company’s risk appetite, regulators’ requirements, and enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.

Key Performance Areas:

  • To assist management in the development, implementation, and regular review of enterprise-wide risk management policies and procedures to proactively identify, minimize, and mitigate operational, strategic, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • To facilitate and support the enhancement of a robust risk reporting and monitoring framework that aligns with international risk management standards (e.g., COSO ERM, ISO 31000) and ensures effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors.
  • Providing risk analytics and insights to support the development and execution of the broader FinTech strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite, strategic objectives, and evolving market conditions.
  • Maintaining and regularly updating comprehensive company risk registers, incorporating emerging risks, root cause analysis, and key risk indicators (KRIs) to support decision-making at all levels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely risk reporting to enable regular reviews of functional strategies, roadmaps, and key initiatives, while adapting to changes in the internal business environment and the external regulatory and technological landscape.
  • Maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing business management policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, incorporating changes in international standards (e.g., IFRS) to ensure a solid foundation for oversight, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Fostering a proactive, enterprise-wide risk awareness culture through structured communication, leadership engagement, and employee training across all levels of the organization.
  • Contributing to the design, configuration, and deployment of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Governance, Risk, and Compliance systems to support end-to-end risk visibility, controls testing, and near real-time risk reporting.
  • Oversee adherence to approved trust account governance standards, ensuring financial integrity, segregation of client assets, and compliance with fiduciary obligations and regulatory requirements and approved trust account management standards.
  • Organizing regular risk review meetings with designated risk champions, and leading enterprise-wide risk training programs to build stakeholder awareness, capability, and engagement in the risk management process.
  • Continuous evaluation of the design and effectiveness of existing risk controls, policies, and procedures in collaboration with business units, and identify control gaps with actionable mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and support efforts to standardize risk management processes across all business functions to drive operational efficiency and enhance consistency in risk treatment.
  • Assist and advise management and relevant stakeholders on the risk implications of complex financial products, emerging technologies, and operational changes, ensuring adequate controls are in place to manage inherent and residual risks.
  • Disseminate timely, accurate, and actionable risk reports and dashboards to management and relevant stakeholders, enabling informed risk-based decision making and strategic planning.
  • Undertake any other additional work tasks assigned by the supervisor, ensuring alignment with the company risk management framework, internal control standards, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives, while maintaining confidentiality, due diligence, and operational integrity.
