Summary Description:

Lead and coordinate all activities of the accounting entities within the framework of the accounting policy of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the establishment of the accounting and financial policy of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc and ensure the monitoring of its execution.
  • Guarantee the reliability of tax and social declarations and serve as the liaison with financial organizations.
  • Ensure supervision and oversee the preparation of accounting and financial information within the required deadlines, in compliance with prevailing rules and procedures.
  • Record purchase invoices.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Record all provisions.
  • Conduct regular, detailed analysis of accounting and financial processes and take necessary initiatives to improve their efficiency.
  • Contribute to the establishment and updating of procedures and workflows for the daily reporting of financial and accounting information.
  • Guarantee the proper functioning of the accounting information system.
  • Ensure the supervision of the management of the teams under their responsibility.
  • Lead the team under their responsibility (foster cohesion, coordination, motivation).
  • Translate the strategy into missions and objectives for the unit.
  • Define staffing and skills requirements.
  • Define individual objectives for skills development and provide support in achieving them (training, career management, etc.).
  • Evaluate performance and skills on both a qualitative and quantitative level.

Expected Results:

  • An accounting and financial policy aligned with the directives of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc.
  • Tax and social declarations prepared and submitted to financial organizations on time.
  • Accounting and financial information prepared on time that faithfully reflects the financial position of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc.
  • Guarantee the payment of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc's expenses according to prevailing standards.
  • Reliable account reconciliations performed on time.
  • Well-founded recording of provisions and losses on irrecoverable debts.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes.
  • Continuous improvement of accounting and financial procedures and workflows.
  • Guarantee the information system's faithful translation of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc's financial and accounting data.
  • Operational management of the Function that complies with the standards of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc and the expectations of the General Management.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Must have at least:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • And must be able to speak and write fluently in French (mandatory), English, and Kinyarwanda.
