Kivu Choice is the fastest growing vertically integrated aquaculture company with the largest hatchery in Rwanda. A fish production operation as well as a growing number of branches to sell the fish throughout the country. Over the next 5 years our plan is to scale to become the largest and most sustainable protein producer in the country, producing and distributing over 50 million fish meals per year across Rwanda, DRC, and Burundi.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering daily operational Aqua- data into Farm360 and other database systems. This role ensures that data related to farm activities (e.g. fish stocking, fish transfers, feeding, mortality, water quality, harvests, samplings) is up-to-date, complete, and properly organized for reporting and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
The Employee’s duties and procedures which may be varied from time to time, will include amongst other responsibilities that arise during the day-to-day business of the Company the following:
- Input daily farm operational data (e.g., water quality, stocking, feeding, mortality, fish transfers, harvests) into Farm360.
- Ensure all entries are accurate, timely, and aligned with farm procedures.
- Review and cross-check data for errors or inconsistencies before submission.
- Collaborate with farm supervisors and technicians to verify source data.
- Maintain organized records (both digital and manual, if required) for cross-validation.
- Assist in generating daily, weekly and monthly reports from Farm 360.
- Flag and report any discrepancies or data quality issues to supervisors.
- Participate in Farm 360 trainings and system updates when required.
- Ensure data confidentiality and secure handling of farm information.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Data Management, or related area)
- Proficient in computer use and working with data systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Basic understanding of databases and how they function
- High attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
