This role is for a Senior Software Developer within the Ministry of Justice (MINIJUST). The position is under contract and is at Level 3.VI.

Responsibilities or duties

The job responsibilities include:

• Analyzing IECMS users’ needs and system requirements and keeping new design documentations.
• Implementing change requests by performing coding and design reviews.
• Integrating the IECMS with existing systems where applicable.
• Maintaining system documentation to describe program development, logic coding structure, changes and corrections.
• Maintaining code source and versioning.
• Performing software tests based on requirements and designs.
• Supporting in provision of API development and documentation.
• Monitoring system performance and optimization.
• Recommending standards and specifications for hardware needed to optimize the performance of the IECMS.
• Performing any other task directed by his/her supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Key technical skills & knowledge required:

• Full stack developer.
• Familiar with Spring Framework.
• Familiar with Java front end technologies based on Javascript (Angular, React JS,).
• Proven experience to develop new and innovative applications as well as debug and refactor existing code.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Drive to keep up to date with developments and trends in the tech and modern software development.
• The ability to learn quickly and work with minimum supervision.
• The ability to interpret and follow technical plans.
• Problem-solving skills.

Experience needed

NB: 3+ years of professional software development experience, in Advanced Java and experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

Experience in data analytics is an added value.

Exams to be conducted: 1:PsychometricTest, 2:Written, 3:Oral. Reports To: IECMS Project Manager.
