Summary Description:

To ensure the necessary processing of credit files from analysis and disbursement to filing and archiving, while ensuring risk analysis, speed, and compliance with credit procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the consistency of credit files (by considering the 5Cs of credit analysis);
  • Coordinate the assessment of repayment capacity and collateral presented by an individual client or a company applying for a loan;
  • Organize the review of all loan files in order to provide an opinion on the risk and quality of the file to the members of the credit committee;
  • Analyze all restructured loan files;
  • Prepare periodic reports on rejected files;
  • Review credit contracts;
  • Support development officers in risk analysis and identification;
  • Receive credit files;
  • Ensure the completeness of credit files;
  • Analyze repayment capacity and collateral and make recommendations while identifying risks;
  • Visit the business and collateral if necessary;
  • Ensure that all files are presented to the credit committee;
  • Ensure that credit files are stored appropriately and that all original documents are archived in the safe;
  • Perform any other similar tasks assigned by supervisors.

Expected Results:

  • Establish an adequate system for coordinating credit analysis and administration;
  • Ensure proper processing of credit files within the set deadlines;
  • Mastery of microfinance products and procedures;
  • Be organized, meticulous, and rigorous;
  • Ability to work under pressure;

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Must have at least:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis, ideally in the financial sector;
  • And must be able to speak and write fluently in French (mandatory), English, and Kinyarwanda.
