About the Apprenticeship

Structured 6-month apprenticeship to develop a mechanical assembly graduate into a fully qualified Assembly Technician, building WAR's full product line in our production workshop — INUMA™ dispensing kiosks, filter assemblies, electrical control panels, and pump-and-tank sub-systems. You train under the Assembly Specialist toward the same Officer-level competencies our Assembly Technicians deliver every day.

Location & transport:

Based at the Rwamagana facility — WAR's warehouse and workshops. WAR provides company-facilitated daily transport in the morning from HQ Nyamirambo (Kigali) to the facility, and in the evening back to HQ. No commute cost to you.

Career path:

Apprentices who consistently exceed expectations may be promoted to Junior Assembly Officer with the full Officer-level package.

Who We're Looking For

Education:

TVET diploma or certificate in Mechanical Assembly, Plumbing, Electrical Installation, or Building & Construction (RTB/WDA-recognised).

Experience:

Recent graduate (0–1 year) or about-to-graduate within 3 months.

Trade Foundation:

Practical exposure to assembly, fitting, or workshop-based fabrication. Willingness to learn across electrical, plumbing, and filter assembly disciplines.

Workshop Ready:

Comfort with repetitive, high-precision indoor work; occasional site visits.

Key Result Areas (mirrored from our current Assembly Technicians)

  • Modular kiosk assembly — INUMAâ„¢ dispensing kiosks end-to-end: frame, cladding, dispenser interface, finish.
  • Electrical assembly — Control panels, solar-array wiring, pump-control circuits, dispenser controllers.
  • Plumbing assembly — Internal kiosk plumbing, dispenser plumbing, pump-and-tank sub-systems.
  • Filter assembly — Multi-stage filter housings, cartridge stacks, pre-treatment modules.
  • Quality control — Pressure tests, leak checks, electrical continuity, functional runs before shipment.
  • Production discipline & inventory — Workbench cleanliness, tool control, accurate parts consumption vs. bill of materials.
  • Documentation & traceability — Build cards for every unit: serial number, parts, tests, technician.

Apprenticeship Terms (fixed — non-negotiable)

  • Duration: 6 months from start date
  • Monthly Stipend: RWF 150,000 net take-home / month
  • Other Benefits During Apprenticeship: None
  • Reports to: Assembly Specialist (Production department)
  • At Successful Completion: Promotion to Junior Assembly Officer (full package) — only for apprentices who consistently exceed expectations
