Job responsibilities

1. Teaching

• Prepare and deliver subjects as outlined in the modules.
• Teach courses in the area of specialization.
• Evaluate students through continuous assessment, tests, and examinations.

2. Research

• Develop research proposals aligned with the area of specialization and institutional thematic priorities.
• Secure internal and external funding for research activities.
• Conduct research aimed at addressing community challenges.
• Publish research findings at national, regional, and international levels.
• Supervise students’ research projects.

3. Community Outreach

• Disseminate research findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop research-based policy briefs for policymakers.
• Participate in organizing national scientific conferences and workshops.

4. Consultancy

• Undertake consultancy activities within the area of specialization.
• Successfully compete for income-generating consultancy projects.

Relevant Qualifications

• PhD in Physical Education or Sport Sciences .

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Relevant teaching experience in Higher Learning Institutions.
• Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education or a validated Teaching Portfolio Certificate.
• Experience with professional bodies will be an added value
