Job responsibilities
- Plan, design, and supervise site development works including land preparation, roads, drainage, water, and electricity.
- Prepare technical specifications and Terms of Reference (ToRs).
- Supervise contractors to ensure timely and quality execution of works.
- Coordinate district-level implementation.
- Assess site conditions and provide engineering solutions.
- Validate technical deliverables and ensure contract compliance.
- Support procurement processes.
- Monitor progress and report on construction status.
- Ensure coordination across technical teams.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Qualifications
1
Master's in Civil Engineering
2 Years of relevant experience
2
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
7 Years of relevant experience
Required certificates
1
Registered with Institute of Engineering Rwanda (IER)
Required competencies and key technical skills
1
Fluency in Kinyaranda English and or French knowledge of Swahili is an added advantage
2
Coordination, planning and organizational skills
3
Team work and team building skills;
4
Interpersonal and writing skills
5
Confidentiality, ethical and teamwork skills;
6
Good interpersonal and communication skills
7
Strong interpersonal relations and communications skills with clients, stakeholders and staff;
8
Ability to work with the team with good inter-personal skills.
9
Experience in infrastructure and housing projects.
10
Knowledge of engineering software and climate-resilient construction is an advantage
