Money Tap Ltd, is a company duly registered in the office of the Registrar General licensed by National Bank of Rwanda to operate as Non-deposit Finance Institution in Rwanda. We are currently inviting applications for the position of the Credit and Operations Manager who will oversee the lending and operational functions of Money Tap Ltd. This role involves supervising Loan Officers and the Administrative Assistant, approving loan applications, preparing regulatory reports for the National Bank of Rwanda, and managing all other operational and managerial responsibilities of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Loan approval: Review and approve loan applications within delegated authority, ensuring compliance with credit policies.
  • Regulatory reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports required by the National Bank of Rwanda.
  • Operations management: Oversee daily operations, including loan processing, client services, and administrative functions.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to Rwanda's financial regulations governing banks and non-deposit taking institutions.
  • Strategic support: Assist the Managing Director in implementing business strategies and operational improvements.
  • Risk management: Monitor loan portfolio performance and implement measures to mitigate credit and operational risks.
  • Supervision: Manage and mentor Loan Officers and the Administrative Assistant, ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and partners to enhance the company's reputation.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on operational and financial performance to the Managing Director.
  • Other duties: Perform other tasks reasonably required by Managing Director within the framework of the company's scope of work

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in credit management, operations, or financial services, with at least 1 years in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Rwanda's banking regulations and non-deposit taking financial institutions.
  • Skills: Leadership, analytical thinking, decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
  • Technology: Proficiency in MS Office and loan/operations management systems.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French is an added advantage.
