The Customer Care cum Accounts Assistant will be responsible for managing customer interactions while supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires strong coordination between customer service, billing, receivables, and basic accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Responsibilities or duties
Customer Care Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally via phone, email, and walk-in interactions
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to resolve customer issues
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow up on outstanding matters
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
Accounts & Finance Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue sales invoices using EBM V2 in compliance with Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) regulations
- Maintain proper documentation for sales, receipts, and customer accounts
- Assist in accounts receivable follow-ups and customer payment tracking
- Enter and maintain accounting records in QuickBooks Online
- Support month-end closing activities and reconciliations
- Prepare basic financial and operational reports using Microsoft Excel
- Ensure proper filing and record-keeping for audits and internal reviews
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in customer care and accounting roles
- Practical working knowledge of EBM V2 is mandatory
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Previous experience working in Rwanda-based companies is an advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal and customer-handling skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High level of integrity and confidentiality

Salary will be as per industry standards and commensurate with experience and qualifications
