Job Summary

The Nursery & Primary Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, learner-centred instruction that promotes the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of learners. The successful candidate will create a nurturing classroom environment, implement the approved curriculum, and support learners in developing foundational knowledge, skills, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the approved curriculum.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assess learner progress through continuous assessments and examinations.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and prepare progress reports.
  • Promote positive behaviour, discipline, and learner well-being.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding learner progress.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, school events, and professional development programmes.
  • Uphold the school's Christian values, policies, and safeguarding standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education.
  • Teaching certification recognized by the relevant education authority.
  • Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
  • ICT proficiency is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Previous teaching experience in a reputable school is an added advantage.
